Eric Merkey, CPA

Eric joined Mize in 2013 after relocating from Dallas, Texas where he held roles including working as a tax analyst for a large energy company and as a senior tax associate with a national accounting firm, where he worked in international tax and indirect tax.  As a Shareholder on our QSR McDonald’s team, Eric works closely with McDonald’s owners to guide them through tax planning, accounting and other business challenges. In addition, Eric has worked with McDonald’s Next Gen candidates to help them become approved owner operators and assisted them in acquiring their first restaurants.  Eric also works with various owner led organizations and helps support multiple financial projects and initiatives for their operations.

Eric and his wife Erika have three daughters. When he’s not spending time with his family, Eric enjoys traveling, playing golf, spending leisure time with friends and taking in the occasional college football and basketball game.
